Privacy policy

How SPEED by SA Aluminium (“we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects your information when you use this website. Last updated 21 October 2026. See also our Terms & conditions.

In short

We only ask for what we need to deliver your order and answer your questions.
You don't need an account, and we never ask for card details or passwords.
We don't use advertising or tracking cookies, and we never sell your information.
You can ask us to see, correct or delete your information at any time.

1. What we collect and why

When you place an order, we collect:

your name, mobile number, delivery address and city, and your email address if you give it;
any order notes you write;
the products, sizes, colours and quantities you order, and how you choose to pay;
for a bank or wallet transfer, which of our accounts you paid into and the screenshot of your payment receipt.

We use this to prepare and deliver your order, confirm it with you by phone or WhatsApp, check your payment, send you emails about your order (for example when it's received, confirmed or delivered) and help you with any questions or returns. Your order number and mobile number also let you track your order on our Track order page.

When you send us a message from the Help center, we collect your name, email address, the topic, your order number (if you add one) and your message, so we can reply.

When you write a review, we collect your name, star rating and comment. Your name, rating and comment are shown publicly on the product page once we approve the review.

To stop spam and repeat reviews, when you send a message or a review we also keep a scrambled (“hashed”) form of your internet (IP) address, and for reviews the type of browser and device you used. The scrambled form can't be turned back into your IP address; it only lets us see that two messages came from the same place.

When you chat with us on WhatsApp, the conversation happens on WhatsApp and is also covered by WhatsApp's own privacy policy.

2. What we don't collect

No card details. We don't take card payments on this website, so we never see or store card numbers.
No accounts or passwords. You can shop without signing up.
No advertising or tracking. We don't use analytics, advertising or social media tracking tools, and we don't use cookies to follow you around the web.
No selling. We never sell or rent your information to anyone.

3. Saved on your device

Some things are saved only in your own browser, on your phone or computer, to make the site work smoothly. They aren't sent to us, apart from the details that go with an order you place.

You can remove your saved details with Forget them at checkout, and your saved orders with Clear all on My orders. Clearing your browser's data for this site removes all of the above. On a shared computer, leave “Save my details and orders” unticked.

5. How long we keep it

Orders are kept for as long as we need them for delivery, returns and warranty questions, and for our business and tax records.
Messages are kept while we deal with your question, and for a while afterwards in case you follow up.
Reviews are kept while they are shown on the site, or until you ask us to remove yours.

When we no longer need your information, we delete it.

6. How we protect it

Your information is stored on secured servers, and only our staff can see orders and messages, through a password-protected admin area. Internet addresses are only kept in scrambled form. No website can promise perfect security, but we take care to protect your information and only keep what we need.

7. Your choices

See or correct the information we hold about you, for example a wrong address on an order.
Delete your messages, reviews or order details. We may need to keep some order records where the law requires it, and will tell you if so.
Emails: we only email you about your own orders and messages. We don't send marketing emails.

To ask for any of these, contact us using the details below. We may ask for your order number and mobile number to check it's really you.

This website is meant for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.

8. Changes to this policy

If we change how we use your information, we'll update this page and the “last updated” date at the top.
